Shared FTP accounts

Shared FTP account settings
You can enable the shared FTP accounts in UltraEdit/UEStudio in Advanced : Configuration : FTP. Simply check the “Share FTP Accounts” option.

When this option is selected, FTP account information will be written to a new file IdmFTPAccounts.txt under %APPDATA%\IDMComp\Common\FTP Accounts.

UltraEdit, UEStudio, and UltraCompare Professional will use this location to store/read FTP account information rather than maintaining this information independently for each application.

Note: You will need to enable this setting – if it is not already enabled – in all IDM applications that you wish to “share” FTP accounts with.

Porting existing FTP account information
If you had previously configured FTP accounts in UltraEdit, you will be prompted whether you wish to export your current settings to the “shared” location. If you do not wish to recreate your FTP accounts, select “yes” to export your current FTP account settings.
