Adding a wordfile

We are frequently asked if we can add support for a given language. Yes! And it’s as easy as saving the new language’s wordfile to your wordfile directory.

We have user-submitted wordfiles available for download here.

Step 1: Find your wordfiles directory.

You can find/open your wordfiles directory by going to Edit » Preferences » Display » Syntax Highlighting. The full path to your wordfile directory is shown in this section.

Step 2. Save the wordfile for the new language into this directory.

Once you’ve downloaded the new wordfile you need from our wordfiles page, simply save it into this directory..

You’re done!

That’s it! From now on, any files opened which have an extension listed in the new wordfile will be highlighted accordingly.
